Hub Details

What is a Hackathon Hub? A hub is simply a place where a group of participants meet in person to hack together or on their own during the online Hackathon. It can be anywhere—your university campus, a co-working space, a coffee shop, or even someone's home. The goal is to bring RISC-V enthusiasts together in person! When/Where/How? - You select the day and time - we recommend sometime between Friday evening - Sunday afternoon for at least 2 hours. - You select the location and let people know how to RSVP. If you need a way for people to RSVP, we can help set up an event on the community platform - RISC-V will create a slack channel for your location so your local community can communicate regardless of being in person or not When setting up a hub, make sure the space has: - Power outlets for laptops - A restroom (WC) nearby - Let people know if they can bring food or if it will be provided - free or paid RISC-V will support these satellite host through: - Live or recorded welcome talk and presentation from each hackathon organization - Hackathon problems, resources and mentorship (Thursday and Friday online) - Slack channels to stay connected with those in the hackathon and for each project - Branding and social media samples that you can share with your local communities A hub isn’t mandatory, but it’s a great way to collaborate, brainstorm, and make the hackathon more fun!

If your located near a Hub, please join them in person, each event has their own page and slack channel!
