Austin Hackathon (in-person) June 2024

RISC-V in Americas

Jun 26, 12:00 – 2:00 AM

A monthly in-person meeting where we gather to help folks get hardware working and contribute to various projects

About this event

The kind folks at Diogenes Makerspace are allowing us to host a monthly Hackathon on the 4th Tuesday of the month at 7pm. Come on by to meet with other folks from the group, and try out various RISC-V based boards and systems. The goal of this month's Hackathon is setting up BananaPi BPI-F3 systems for folks to use as a RISC-V development platform. If you're interested in getting one as well, here an Amazon shipping list you'll also need a laptop that can accept the USB-A serial adapter and some terminal communication program (we can help with that if you don't know what to get).

Beyond that, we're here to help! Did you recently get a new board and want help setting it up? Bring it! Need troubleshooting help? We can assist with that too! There will be light snacks and some drinks provided, there is WiFi and lots of table space and power available. We'll also have a handful of spare monitors, serial adapters, keyboards, mice, and SD cards on hand to help folks.

Light snacks will be provided, hope to see folks there!
