The adoption of RISC-V in open-source projects is constrained by the lack of native CI runners on GitHub and GitLab, unlike x86 and ARM. Cloud-V bridges this gap by offering free RISC-V CI runners on both physical hardware and emulated instances. These runners are securely isolated using Podman, enabling safe, scalable testing, software porting, and upstreaming. The talk will highlight Cloud-V’s architecture, its integration with CI platforms, and its role in accelerating RISC-V adoption, including a case study of a successful open-source project using this CI.
