Link for RSVP works for me;
but it only generates a beautiful PDF with QR code for in-person ticket.
How to shovel this PDF thing into Zoom? I'm trying but the cup holder/er, CD-ROM drive keeps getting jammed with the PDF paper ticket :(

There was a URL in the calendar portion of the RSVP email, but that for me resolved to austinriscv.club. The QR code was just a text note for me too :(

We've got to do much better; much, much better. Not everyone uses a cloud-based or app-based calendar. I, myself, use simple plain-text email and a browser-based client (icloud.com). Having to forward emails around to see links buried in one or more calendaring systems (ical, gcal, outlook, hrrumph) is more than a royal pain the core dump.
Let's make simple email announcements and notifications with proper and appropriate links right up there, front and center, for easiest viewing and access.
mutt and lynx email user here! ;-) I've been tripped up by timezones and over-clever calendaring extensions for more than three decades, benefiting today from US daylight saving being out-of-step with Europe - all curved balls one tires of anticipating.
Please empathise with the organiser, the last thing anyone wants is a tirade of abusive images posted into a live feed. We use Jitsi for my remote LUG (Linux User Group) and Jitsi had to add a layer of authorisation due to objectionable room-bombing. That gets worse with openly advertised links, whatever the platform. Some "people" just don't deserve nice-things :-(
